Pre-performance Talks

Gain a deeper insight into each of our mainstage productions with our entertaining and informative free pre-performance talks. Talks begin 45 minutes before the start of each performance and are held in a space near the theatre.

For our Lyric Theatre productions of Carmen, pre-performance talks will take place on the Balcony Foyer. Please note – seating is available however it is limited so please arrive early to secure a place.

For our Conservatorium Theatre production of The Mikado, the pre-performance talk will be held in the Opera Queensland Studio. To access the studio, enter Opera Queensland via Reception on Level One and follow the directional signage to the Ground Floor.

Exploring Opera!

Opera Queensland's Artistic Administrator, Brad Jarrett, can be heard at 8pm on the first Thursday of every month (from March to November) on 4MBS Classic FM in our special series called Exploring Opera! Brad will take listeners on a journey of discovery about the music, the artists and the performances in Opera Queensland's 2011 Season; and he'll share a few snippets of what's going on behind the scenes in the world of opera.
