Opera Queensland is committed to ensuring that opera continues to weave its magic for many generations to come. If opera has enriched you throughout your life, there is a way you can ensure that your passion for the artform will continue beyond your lifetime. By naming Opera Queensland as a beneficiary in your Will (either through an outright financial gift or a residual part of your estate), you make a very personal statement about who you are and what you value.

Aside from ensuring your loved ones are provided for, you may consider including Opera Queensland as a beneficiary in your Will, through a gift of cash or shares or a residual part of your estate. The best way to arrange this is to speak with a solicitor. They will advise you how to ensure that your estate is distributed in a way that meets your wishes. They can create a Will for you, if you do not already have one, or update your existing Will.

If you decide to include Opera Queensland in your Will, please use the following clause or words to this effect:

I give and Bequeath free of all duties, death, estate, succession or otherwise, State or Federal, to Opera Queensland Limited (ABN 83 010 258 750) the sum of $ (insert sum) for the general purposes

• The sum of $ (xxxxx) OR
• The residue of my estate OR
• A (x) % share of the residue of my estate OR
• All of my property known as (PROPERTY FOLIO NUMBER) situated at (ADDRESS OF PROPERTY) OR
• If any of my nominated beneficiaries predecease me, the bequest shall
  not fail but I gave the share of my deceased beneficiary to Opera Queensland Limited

And I declare that the receipt of the Chairman, President or authorised officer of Opera Queensland Limited shall be a sufficient discharge to my Executors for my bequest.
