Did you know that Opera Queensland is a registered tax deductible charity which relies on community donations to supplement our core State and Federal government funding? In 2009, Opera Queensland received 39% of our total revenue from State and Federal governments, 43% from ticket sales and 18% from fundraising activities.

Opera is an expensive artform and philanthropic tax-deductible donations from Opera Queensland’s supporters are vital to help us continue to provide accessible opera and music theatre of excellence right throughout the State. As well as personal donations from individuals and families (for example through Prescribed Private Funds), philanthropic gifts from businesses are also welcome.
