ANDREW MORAN
Background: Studied at the West Australian Academy of Performing Arts graduating with a Bachelor of Music (2003), and the Sydney Conservatorium of Music completing a Graduate Diploma in Music. Recipient of the Phoebe Patrick Award, Goethe-Institut Award, Royal Over-Seas League Music Bursary and Glyndebourne Festival Prize. Engagements: Sharpless in Madama Butterfly, Demetrius and Starveling in A Midsummer Night's Dream, Papageno in Die Zauberflöte, Doctor Bartolo in Il barbiere di Siviglia, Ned Keene in Peter Grimes, Jonas Fogg in Sweeney Todd, Gamekeeper in Rusalka, Amantio di Nicolao in Gianni Schicchi, Moralès in Carmen, Cristian in A Masked Ball, Demas in The Pilgrim's Progress, Herald in Otello, First Mate in Billy Budd, Marullo in Rigoletto, Mr Lindquist in A Little Night Music, Sid in La fanciulla del West, Servant in Capriccio, Marcello in La bohème (Opera Australia), Zurga in The Pearl Fishers, Plumeaux in Nostradamus, Moralès in Carmen (West Australian Opera). Concert repertoire: Handel’s Messiah, Rossini’s Petite Messe Solennelle, Bach’s Mass in A Major, Christmas Oratorio, St John Passion, Vaughan Williams’ Five Mystical Songs, the Mozart and Fauré Requiems, Schumann’s Dichterliebe, Poulenc's Le bal masqué. Upcoming engagements: Pooh-Bah in The Mikado (Opera Queensland), Ping in Turandot, Cappadocian in Salome, Doctor Bartolo in The Barber of Seville (Opera Australia).
